Sarah Jane MacDonald
Sarah Jane MacDonald brings an abundance of energy and passion to her approach to food. In 2013 she received her Masters of Food Culture and Communication at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in northern Italy. Leaving university, she darted across to Ireland to work under chef, author and tv personality Darina Allen, founder of the Ballymalloe Cookery School in Cork.
In an effort to perfect hand rolled pasta, Sarah took a job working at Anna Tasca Lanza, a cookery school in Sicily, farming, cooking and teaching. From there Sarah has been back and forth from the continent studying under some of Europe’s most regarded affineurs and cheesemakers, natural wine producers, and farmers. She is a cook, food educator, stylist, menu designer, farmer, cheese monger amongst many other things and continues to love her work as a freelance food consultant.
